Short answer: In a cash collect slot, certain symbols show a cash value and a collector symbol pays out all of them at once when it lands.
Slots that use it
How it works
- Value symbols land showing an amount, such as 2x or 50x the stake.
- A collector lands on the same spin.
- Every value on screen is added and paid.
- More than one collector collects more than once.
Two versions of the idea
| Detail | Big Bass Bonanza | Fishin' Frenzy |
|---|
| Value symbol | Fish | Fish |
|---|
| Collector | Fisherman wild | Fisherman wild |
|---|
| When it collects | Free spins | Free games |
|---|
| Progression | Every 4th fisherman: +10 spins and 2x, 3x, then 10x | None |
|---|
| Maximum win | 2,100x | 5,000x |
|---|
What it means for play
Features in collect slots tend to pay something on most triggers, because any fisherman with any fish is a win. The size varies a great deal: a round with one collector and small fish barely covers a few spins, while several collectors with large values is where the big results sit.
Beyond fishing
The same mechanic appears with coins, gems and fireballs in "hold and win" style games. We profile only the two fishing originals.
